There’s nothing quite like that feeling when you put the final stitches into your quilt top. And just when you think all that’s left is to quilt and bind it, you remember you still need a backing. Ugh.
Sure, you can buy some wideback fabric and cut it to fit. But why not instead take your quilt back from boring to brilliant? At our next meeting, Kelly Young will present “Show Your Back Side – Quilts from Perfectly Pieced Quilt Backs”, and show us how to create stunning pieced backs that are too pretty to hide. Not only will Kelly share 30 patterns that make the most of quilt-top scraps, she’ll teach us how to choose a pieced quilt-back pattern that fits the leftovers we have and transform them into something unique and beautiful.
Who says a quilt back has to be folded away? Let’s make the backs of our quilts worth showing off!
